I would like to begin by saying that the hayride was AMAZING! Additionally, everything was as organized as it could be considering the influx of people. We arrived with a family of 6 and purchased 4 tickets to the Hayride and 5 tickets to the haunted corn maze. My kids were TERRIFIED after the hayride so we were stuck with 5 ($6) tickets to a corn maze that we couldn't use. I attempted to make use of the $30 worth of tickets by purchasing refreshments with the tickets (since there were no refunds) but the woman selling the tickets stated that she'd take all of the tickets for 5 cups of hot chocolate. I told her that I was basically paying $30 for 5 cups of hot chocolate and she yelled (in front of the ENTIRE LINE) "give her the tickets back, she gets nothing now. I tried being nice now you leave with nothing!" She treated me like an absolute animal and mortified me. I am a mother, I'm in the military, and I'm a law enforcement officer. I kept my composure out of respect for myself and the families there but that was absolutely uncalled for and one of the most disrespectful things that I have EVER experienced (without given the opportunity to defend myself). A simple, "ma'am, it's posted, no refunds" would have done. But to attempt to make $30 by "being nice" and selling me 5 cups of hot chocolate was pure greed! I took my tickets back and sold them to patrons on line interested in only going to the corn maze. THANK YOU TO THE WOMAN WHO UNDERSTOOD THE FRUSTRATION and understood that $30 is a tank of gas and not worth throwing away! I felt HORRIBLE for looking like a scalper but it was worth it! Great ride but horrible people skills from the fat witch collecting the tickets. I look forward to extending the same curtesy and respect in the event I encounter her outside of ticket trailer. It would be worth explaining how inappropriate she addressed that whole situation. I wanted to make going there a tradition but my experience was so ridiculous, I will never return nor will people I am associated with.
